Copper Enameling
Large Scale Copper Enameling - 2-day Intensive Workshop
* materials fee includes a 12" x 12" copper square and all required color
In this accelerated class, students will explore the wonderful world of enameling in a way that will allow a great amount of creative leeway. This is a three day workshop that will include an extensive lesson on the use of copper including cutting, forming and repousse techniques. The instructor will provide personal assistance throughout the process.
Over two days, students will work in several areas and cover color usage, sgraffito techniques, applying transparents directly on copper, incorporating fine silver foils into the work and then applying transparent glass over the foils. Students may make a wall piece or free standing sculpture. Either way, you will have fun and learn how to work in this amazing art direction.
