In order to save energy, our glass furnace is turned off 10-14 days each month. Days when the furnace is on are called the HOT days. Days when the furnace is off are the GREEN days.

Glass Blowing

Fun with Hot Glass & More Fun with Hot Glass
1-day Beginner & Intermediate Glassblowing Workshops

The beginner class introduces the basics of glass blowing, hot shop safety and the importance of teamwork to a successful outcome. Students start with a paperweight, then make a basic vessel and one more object.

More Fun takes students to the next level, creating new forms and learning new decorative techniques.

Pre-register for both classes for a $50 savings.

Glass Fusing

Pendant Workshop
Make a fused photo glass pendant and a dichroic pendant in this unique 3-hour workshop.
Limited to 15 students.

4-Week Beginner Course - This four-week course builds a strong foundation for beginners or students with a little experience. Beginning with the fundamentals in session 1 and adding new skills each week, students will learn to conceptualize and create a finished fused and slumped object by session 4. Students will create two small jewelry pieces and two small tabletop pieces.

Lampwork Program

"Hands on" workshops for beginning to advanced flameworkers in a collaborative environment where students may continue to develop their skills.

Introduction to Borosilicate and Borosilicate II – Sculpture

Studio safety and the proper use of a glass torch get you started making your first glass creations. Learn about the different types of glass, color mixing and basic forming techniques. Learn to use borosilicate glass, otherwise known as Pyrex glass. Starting with 3 Dimensional shapes we will learn to use hot glass, the foundation of studies for making glass sculpture. Schedule TBA

Found Metal Sculpture

Sundays, monthly, noon - 6 p.m.
CALENDAR

The one day introductory class will teach you the basics of (mig) welding, grinding and the properties of recycled steel. Students will bring home a finished found metal sculpture.
