Kids Art Club

CANCELLATION
POLICY

If minimum enrollment is not met, a class will be cancelled. Students will be notified in advance and students will be given an opportunity to transfer to another class. If another class is not available, a full refund will be issued.

If a student needs to cancel a registration and cancellation is received 30 days prior to the class start date, you will receive a full refund less the $50 registration fee. If cancellation is received less than 30 days but at least 7 days prior to the class start date, IAC will refund 50% of the class cost less the registration fee. There is no refund for cancellations received less than 7 days before the class start date.

Each month, the Kids Art Club will focus on a different medium taught at the Industrial Arts Center. Kids who participate in the Art Club will receive a Junior IAC Membership with their first workshop. Kids may participate in as many or as few workshops as their time and interests permit.

Tuition for each Kids Art Club workshop $45
$25 Junior IAC membership is included with the first workshop attended.

Glass Holiday Ornaments, Paperweights & more

Kids will have an opportunity to make one or more projects in the featured medium. Beginning glass blowers will make an ornament and a paperweight in their choice of colors. Kids with previous glass blowing experience will be able to explore other shapes. Following a safety presentation, kids will watch as our experienced glass blowers gather molten glass from our furnace. With an instructor by their side, kids will pick up bits of broken glass called frit to add color to their piece. They will reheat their project at the glory hole and shape the ball of molten glass using a water-soaked wood block. NOTE: finished pieces will be ready for pickup after an overnight cooling cycle.
